Sacred Lotus, Lotus of the Buddha, Flower of Enlightenment
Originating mainly in India and China, the Lotus flower is considered a highly sacred flower in Eastern religions and traditions. The Sacred Lotus is known as the Flower of the Buddha. According to Hindu mythology, Brahma, the god of creation and knowledge, was born from a Lotus flower that grew from the navel of Vishnu while he was sleeping on water.
White Lotus has both calming and euphoric effects, inviting deep bodily relaxation and psychic intuitions. It would be an excellent plant to enhance meditative practises. Pink Lotus is also recognised as a reliable sleep ally.
Stimulating feelings of inspiration and refined presence, the sacred Lotus flower has a purifying quality with a potential to awaken our Souls.
